BSL Tour

As part of our commitment to inclusion, a BSL tour with our deaf consultant is included in every booking.

Installations include:

• The Mother’s Voice: The Mother bathes her listeners in live acapella lullabies, she is elevated in a spectacular illuminated nightgown, hushing, lulling, and soothing through song.

• A Lullaby for…: A large illuminated crescent moon, you are invited to sit down and hear a unique piece of music, written with parents in creative writing workshops.

• The Signing Mother: A Visual Vernacular (VV) film inspired by interviews carried out in Derby with parents that are Deaf by Martin Glover in British Sign Language, screened within the giant Daffodil Bedside Lamp. VV is a unique physical theatre technique, with elements of signed poetry and mime, primarily performed by Deaf artists.
